Although a glass of simple lemonade totally delicious, it can be made even better with a flavored simple syrup. In this case, we made a peach syrup to make this tasty peach lemonade.
If you’ve never made homemade lemonade, you’ll be surprised how simple it is and how much better it tastes than the store bought stuff.
Ingredients for Peach Lemonade
Here’s what you are going to need to make a batch of this peach lemonade:
Add some water and that’s all you need!
Make the Peach Simple Syrup
Start by washing your peaches well. Then dice them into bite size chunks. They don’t need to be uniform for this.
Add the peaches to a small saucepan along with the water and granulated sugar. Bring to a simmer and allow to simmer for 15 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow to steep for 20 minutes. Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and strain the syrup. Gently press the peaches in the strainer to make sure you get all the delicious peachy goodness into the syrup.
Allow to cool until ready to use.
Assemble the Peach Lemonade and Chill
Once the peach syrup is made, it’ll only take a few minutes to assemble the peach lemonade.
Add six cups of cold water and one cup of fresh lemon juice to a pitcher. Then add 3/4 cup of the peach syrup and stir well.
Take a little taste and see if it’s peachy and sweet enough for you. If it’s not, stir in another 1/4 cup of syrup and stir again. Once it’s too your liking pour into glasses filled with ice and enjoy.
