Ingredients

For the peach sryup

  • 2 cups diced fresh peaches
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water

For the lemonade

  • 6 cups water
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 3/4 - 1 cup peach syrup

Instructions

  • For the peach simple syrup: combine peaches, sugar and water in a small saucepan. Place over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Turn heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to steep for 20 minutes. Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl and pour syrup into the strainer. Press peaches into the strainer to get as much juice out of them as possible. Place in the refrigerator to cool.
  • Once the syrup is cool, mix the lemonade. Add water and lemon juice into a pitcher. Stir in 3/4 cup of the peach syrup. Try the lemonade and if you want more peach flavor or sweetness, add another 1/4 cup syrup and stir. Pour into glasses filled with ice and garnish with slices of peach and lemon if desired.
