I love a classic cheeseburger. A great patty, a delicious sauce and simple toppings and I’m happy.

I also love a wrap of any kind so it seemed like a no-brainer to combine two summer favorites into this new, delicious dinner. It’s the perfect addition to your summer meal rotation.

Ingredients for Cheeseburger Wraps

  • Flour tortillas: I like to use the raw tortillas that you cook. They are so fresh and delicious. Use your favorite brand.
  • Ground beef: Use 80/20 or 85/15 to ensure you have some fat and flavor in your cheeseburger wraps.
  • Worcestershire sauce: Adds rich flavor to the ground beef.
  • Yellow mustard: Adds a bite to the ground beef
  • Ketchup: Add to the ground beef, along with mustard to give all the burger vibes.
  • Salt and pepper: For seasoning.
  • Shredded or sliced cheddar: Or whatever cheese you love on a cheeseburger.
  • Shredded lettuce: For some crunch.
  • Sliced tomato: A burger topping classic.
  • Pickles: Because it’s not a burger with a load of pickles if you ask me. I’m the pickle friend (if you know, you know).
  • Homemade burger sauce: I love a classic burger sauce on my burgers and in this wrap. My classic burger sauce is easy to make with common ingredients you probably already have on hand.

Cook the Ground Beef

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Break it up with a wooden spoon and season with salt and pepper.

Once it’s cooked through, add the worcestershire sauce, ketchup and mustard and stir throughout. Cook another minute to let the sauce thicken a bit.

Top with cheese and allow to melt.

Make the Burger Sauce

The burger sauce is optional but definitely recommended. All you have to do is whisk together mayo, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, relish, garlic powder, onion powder and pepper.

That’s it. If you can, make it a few hours ahead of time to allow the flavors to develop and deepen.

Assemble the Cheeseburger Wraps

Once the ground beef is cooked, it’s time to assemble these delicious wraps. Lay out your tortilla then top with desired amount of cheesy beef.

Top with shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, pickles and drizzle with burger sauce. Wrap the tortilla up tightly, slice in half and serve.

Delicious Additions

These cheeseburger wraps are totally customizable depending on your tastes and preferences. If you want to make them a little lighter, you could sub in ground turkey or ground chicken for the beef.

Here are more delicious additions:

  • Crumbled, crispy bacon
  • French fried onions
  • Chopped onion
  • Avocado slices
  • BBQ sauce (instead of burger sauce)
  • Pickled or fresh jalapenos

The possiblities are endless. Whatever you love on a burger would be delicious in these wraps.
