How to Make Baked Pesto Chicken
This baked chicken with pesto is super simple to make. Start by preheating your oven and grabbing a 9×9 baking dish or a similar sized baking dish.
Add chicken breasts to the baking dish then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Spread pesto over the chicken until it’s coated.
Top with tomato slices and shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake until the chicken is cooked through and the cheesy is gooey and slightly golden.
What to Serve
There are so many options that will taste delicious alongside this pesto chicken. My obvious choice would be to cook some pasta and toss it with the leftover pesto.

Baked Pesto Chicken
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. pesto
- 1 roma tomato, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Add chicken to a baking dish. Sprinkle with garlic powder. Spread pesto over chicken then top with tomato slices. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until chicken is no longer pink.
