When I was a kid, I absolutely loved orange creamsicles. That combination of creamy, sweet vanilla and bright, citrusy orange was always so dreamy to me.

And now I combined those delicious flavors to create a fun adult treat perfect for enjoying after a long day.

Ingredients for Creamsicle Cocktail

  • Orange juice: You can squeeze your own or grab a bottle from the refrigerator section.
  • Half and half: To bring the creaminess to the cocktail. If you’re dairy-free you can use dairy-free half and half or unsweetened vanilla almond milk.
  • Whipped cream vodka: This stuff is the best and adds the best vanilla flavor to this cocktail. If you aren’t able to find the whipped cream variety, you can use vanilla vodka or even regular vodka. If using regular, add a tiny splash of vanilla extract.
  • Triple sec: This orange flavored liqueur adds extra orange flavor.
  • Oranges: For garnish, if desired.
  • Ice

How to Make Cocktail

This is the easiest cocktail to make. Gather your ingredients and a cocktail shaker.

Fill the cocktail shaker with ice then pour over all your ingredients. Close the shaker and shake really well. This gets the drink extra cold and frothy.

Fill a cocktail glass with ice then pour the shaken drink over the ice. Garnish with a wedge or slice of orange if you’re fancy and throw in a paper straw.

Large Batching

If you want to make a large batch rather than an individual cocktail, you can definitely do that.

In the recipe card below, you can adjust the “yield” amount and the recipe will automatically update the measurements for the ingredients. Use the slider to slide to the amount of drinks you want to make and you’ll know exactly how much to measure out.

You can make it ahead of time and store in the refrigerator. Just be sure to give it a good whisk before serving. You can even store it in a large mason jar and give it a good shake before pouring.
