Ingredients for Air Fryer Frozen Broccoli

  • Frozen broccoli: I used a 1 pound bag but you can easily adjust based on your needs. Just be aware you may need to air fry in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  • Olive oil or canola oil spray: This helps crisp up the broccoli.
  • Kosher salt and pepper: To season.

Method for Making Air Fryer Frozen Broccoli

There is a trick to getting crisp, non-soggy broccoli in the air fryer. The method is a two-step process but it’s super simple.

The trick is to cook the broccoli on its own in the air fryer to release all the water from freezing. Once it’s cooked partially, remove the broccoli from the air fryer and drain the water.

Place the broccoli back into the air fryer and spray liberally with olive oil spray. Season with salt and pepper. You can season it with more spices too depending on what you are serving alongside it.

Then the broccoli gets another cook in the air fryer to get it tender crisp. You’ll never know you started with frozen broccoli when you use this method.

Reheating Air Fryer Broccoli

If you have leftovers, make sure to reheat your broccoli in the air fryer to bring back the crisp.

Preheat your air fryer (if needed) and cook at 375 degrees F for about 2 minutes. This will heat and re-crisp the broccoli and make it as good as the first time around.
