Prep the Ingredients

This recipe starts with thawing the cinnamon rolls. Start by thawing six cinnamon rolls.

Spray a large baking pan with nonstick spray and lay out six rolls, leaving space between for them to rise. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise. This will take about one to three hours, depending on the temperature of your home.

You can also thaw them overnight in the refrigerator if you prefer. This way they’ll be ready for the recipe first thing in the morning.

When the rolls are almost done rising, cook the sausage links in a cast iron skillet until browned and cooked through. Set aside and allow to cool until you can handle them with your hands.

Assemble the Cinnamon Roll Pigs in a Blanket

After the cinnamon rolls are risen it’s time to assemble. Unroll a cinnamon roll and cut the long strip into three equal pieces.

Take one strip of cinnamon roll and wrap it around a sausage link. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat with remaining sausages and cinnamon rolls until they are all wrapped.

Bake until golden. Plate the pigs in a blanket on a pretty platter then drizzle with frosting from the cinnamon rolls and enjoy.
