This is my favorite recipe to come out of summer. Perfectly juicy grilled wings bursting with lemony flavor and topped with salty cheese. I mean, come on.

Not only are they delicious but they couldn’t be easier to prepare. Perfect for busy weeknights or fall football games!

Ingredients for Greek Chicken Wings

Here’s what you’ll need to make these tasty wings:

  • Plain Greek yogurt: This give the wings a tang and makes them super tender.
  • Lemons: You’ll need the zest and juice of two lemons. So much citrusy flavor!
  • Olive oil: This will add more flavor and richness.
  • Fresh garlic: I like to add lots.
  • Oregano: Provides a woodsy, peppery flavor.
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chicken wings: I like to use a combination of drummettes and flats.
  • Crumbled feta: This is optional but a delicious addition after they are cooked.

Marinate the Wings

Start by marinating the wings. Whisk together everything but the wings and feta together in a large bowl.

Add the wings to the bowl and toss until they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate. Marinate for at least 4 hours to really get all those delicious Greek flavors into the wings.

If you have longer, make up the marinade the night before and let them sit in the fridge overnight and all day.

Time to Grill

Preheat the grill to medium heat, about 400 degrees F. Remove the wings from the marinade and place them on the grill.

Grill for 20 minutes, flipping every 5 minutes. Remove from the grill and sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese.

Don’t Have a Grill?

If you don’t have a grill or don’t want to fire yours up, you can bake these wings instead.

To bake, preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place an oven-safe rack over a rimmed baking sheet.

Add the wings in a single layer (making sure they don’t touch) to the rack and bake for about 45 minutes.

My Favorite Way to Serve Greek Wings

Serve these juicy grilled wings with a big crumble of feta cheese and a few lemon wedges on the side. It’s kind of perfection.

I really love lemon dill rice or Greek lemon potatoes alongside these Greek wings.
