Homemade Coffee Syrups

Homemade Coffee Syrups

Homemade Coffee Syrups are easy to make and customize. Today I’m sharing my three favorite combinations so you can make your own coffee house quality drinks at home for a fraction of the cost.

I am so beyond excited about today’s post. I’ve been doing a lot of experimenting with flavors and today I’m sharing my three favorite homemade coffee syrups. I promise after you find out how easy they are to make at home, you’ll never buy it again.

I took my three favorite coffee flavor additions, vanilla, cinnamon and mint, and turned them into simple syrups you can make at home on the cheap. And once you have them, they’ll keep in the fridge for about a month so you can have fancy coffee every morning.

And they aren’t just simple vanilla, cinnamon and mint syrups guys. I amped these up and created some crazy fun flavors. Ok, enough suspense. I’ll get on with it. The first is vanilla cupcake. YES VANILLA CUPCAKE. Isn’t that just so fun!?! Dunkin’ Donuts inspired this one when I tried their variety a couple months ago and was, well, less than impressed. I usually love all their crazy flavors in my iced coffee but it just tasted like vanilla to me. Major disappointment.

But I couldn’t stop thinking about it so I decided to try it at home and you guys will be so thankful for my obsessive ways because it seriously tastes like vanilla cupcake batter. I have a ridiculous recipe I’ll be sharing towards the end of the month using this liquid gold.

Next on the list is brown sugar cinnamon. I love Poptarts as a kid and this was always my favorite flavor. So I thought, why not turn it into a slightly more sophisticated early morning item? Ok, so maybe it’s not any more sophisticated but I love trashed up coffee and I don’t care who knows it.

Last is probably my favorite, chocolate mint. It’s one of my favorite flavor combinations in all the land and it lends itself so well to coffee.

I literally do happy dances when the peppermint mocha is back for the season so that kind of proves my love affair. I’m down with mint any time of the year so I’m pretty sure this will be stocked in my fridge for the unforeseeable future.

Homemade Coffee Syrups

I had every single ingredient needed for all three of these homemade coffee syrups in my pantry already and I bet you have most of them too. Although the vanilla cupcake variety calls for butter extract which isn’t a staple ingredient for most people. I’m just food blogger-y like that and always have it. So basically, I’m saying these take about 10 minutes (each) to make and you probably have what you need making them pretty much free.

I especially love these homemade coffee syrups in my cold brew iced coffee but they are great combined with hot coffee as well. I like my iced coffee, a few dashes of almond milk (or cream when I’m feeling decadent) and a tablespoon or so of syrup.

Homemade Coffee Syrups

These homemade coffee syrups have totally changed my coffee game and I get even more excited about my morning coffee routine when I have all these options at my fingertips.
