Apple Pie Cinnamon Roll Bombs

Two favorites combine to create a delicious new treat, Apple Pie Cinnamon Roll Bombs. Store-bought biscuits, spiced apples and drippy glaze.

Ingredients

  • 1 (16.3 oz.) can buttermilk biscuits
  • 2 large honey crisp apples, 1/4-inch dice
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. allspice
  • 1/8 tsp. kosher salt

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
  • 1 Tbsp. milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a pie plate with nonstick spray. Set aside. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Melt butter and add apples. Stir to combine and cook for 5 minutes. Add sugar, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, allspice and salt. Cook another 5 minutes, stirring often.

  • Slice the biscuits in half lengthwise to create two, thin disks. Flatten slightly. Place a heaping tablespoon of the apple filling in the center of each biscuit. Pinch and seal closed and place seam side down in the prepared pie plate. They will be touching.
  • Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Remove from oven.

  • In a small bowl whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup and milk. Drizzle evenly over the apple pie cinnamon roll bombs.
