Apple Pie Cinnamon Roll Bombs
Two favorites combine to create a delicious new treat, Apple Pie Cinnamon Roll Bombs. Store-bought biscuits, spiced apples and drippy glaze.
- 1 (16.3 oz.) can buttermilk biscuits
- 2 large honey crisp apples, 1/4-inch dice
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/8 tsp. allspice
- 1/8 tsp. kosher salt
For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a pie plate with nonstick spray. Set aside. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Melt butter and add apples. Stir to combine and cook for 5 minutes. Add sugar, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, allspice and salt. Cook another 5 minutes, stirring often.
Slice the biscuits in half lengthwise to create two, thin disks. Flatten slightly. Place a heaping tablespoon of the apple filling in the center of each biscuit. Pinch and seal closed and place seam side down in the prepared pie plate. They will be touching.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden and cooked through. Remove from oven.
In a small bowl whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup and milk. Drizzle evenly over the apple pie cinnamon roll bombs.
