Salted Caramel Cold Brew is a sweet caramel coffee topped with a sweet and salty cold foam and it totally rivals the real deal.

As much as I love a coffee run, sometimes it’s fun to make those fancy coffees at home too. And my official new Starbucks favorite is the salted caramel cold foam cold brew. Say that a few time fast.

And it’s way cheaper and quicker to whip one up at home. It will only take you five minutes to prep this pretty coffee.

Ingredients for Salted Caramel Cold Brew

You only need a few ingredients for this coffee recipe. They may cost a tad more than the typical ingredients I use but they will last a long time and give you lots of caramel coffees. Here’s what you are going to need:

  • Cold brew coffee: You can either buy a bottle in the fridge section at your grocery store or make your own cold brew at home.
  • Caramel sauce: I love Torani caramel sauce for my homemade coffees. It doesn’t have to be refrigerated so it always mixes in so nicely. It has the best flavor too.
  • Half and half: Will add lots of creaminess to your coffee. If you want to use milk instead, feel free to do that. It just may not foam as well.
  • Vanilla syrup: Vanilla syrup is a little pricier but it will last you a long time and bring lots of flavored coffees to your mornings (and afternoons).
  • Salt: Just a pinch will add a nice little saltiness to the sweetness of the caramel.

Coffee Time

In a tall glass, combine cold brew and caramel sauce. It’ll take a minute to get all that caramel combined with the coffee.

Add ice but make sure to leave some space for your cold foam.

Make a Simple Salted Cold Foam

It’s quick and easy to make your own cold foam at home with a simple kitchen tool, a milk frother. I grabbed mine recently for $9 and am loving it so far.

Mix together the half and half, vanilla syrup and a hefty pinch of salt in a bowl or tall glass. Froth until you have a thick, frothy milk mixture. It will look a little like soft whipped cream.

Make sure to make it right before you’re ready to assemble the coffee. If it sits for too long it will lose its foam.

If you don’t have a milk frother, you can still make this coffee without foaming the half and half. I tested it both ways and it was delicious whichever way you make it.
