How to Bake Bacon

Today we're going to talk about how to bake bacon. It's the easiest and least messy way to prepare bacon and therefore my favorite.

Equipment

  • Rimmed baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or aluminum foil

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. bacon, regular or thick cut

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil. You may need two baking sheets, depending on their size.
  • Lay bacon on the prepared pan in a single layer. The slices can touch but make sure they aren't overlapping. Bake reulgar cut bacon for 13 to 15 minutes, depending on preferred doneness. Bake thick cut bacon 20 to 25 minutes. Make sure to watch bacon the last few minutes to make sure you have it done just how you like.
