Ingredients
1lb.ground beef
1/2mediumonion, grated with cheese grater or finely minced
1largeegg
1/2cupbread crumbs
1/4tsp.kosher salt
1/4tsp.pepper
1Tbsp.kechup
1Tbsp.mustard
1Tbsp.Worcestershire sauce
1cupshredded cheddar cheese
For the topping:
1/4cupketchup
2Tbsp. mustard
3slicesAmerican cheese
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, egg, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, 1 tablespoon ketchup, 1 tablespoon ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and shredded cheddar cheese.
Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment. Form the meatloaf into a 6-inch long loaf shape.
In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup and mustard. Spoon over the meatloaf and spread over the top. Top with slices of American cheese. Bake for 35 minutes or until temperature has reached 155 degrees.
