Ingredients
5cupsbisquick baking mix
2 1/2Tbsp.granulated sugar
1tsp.kosher salt
1/2cupunsalted butter, very cold
3/4cupbuttermilk
1largeegg
1/4cupclub soda
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet with butter and set aside.
Combine bisquick baking mix, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Grate the cold butter into the dry mixture then cut together with a pastry cutter or two forks until you have course crumbs. Set aside.
Whisk together the buttermilk and egg. Carefully add the club soda (we want to keep as much of the carbination as possible). Pour the wet mixture into the dry and mix together until it just comes together.
Dump onto a floured surface and pat with your hand to 1-inch thickness. Cut biscuits and place on prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-14 minutes, utnil golden.
